In honor of the 162nd anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg we are offering a 60-minute "Battle in the Streets" tour at 6:00pm, June 30th through July 5th.

The first shot fired at Gettysburg July 1, 1863 at 7:30 am started the 3 day battle. Citizens were in a turmoil with a growing flood of wounded being brought into town. Fighting erupted in streets, alleys & yards as the war was brought to their doorstep. Walk these same streets and alleys with a Guide and hear the stories of the civilians who lived through these violent days.

GETTYSBURG; A town steeped in History, and if you are a first time visitor or have visited here before, but never toured the town then our Town Tour is a great place to begin. A Gettysburg Licensed Town Guide will take you on a 90 minute walking tour and tell you about Gettysburg’s history and share the civilians’ experiences of the 3 day battle, occupation, aftermath and Lincoln’s visit. If you have taken a Town Tour, then try one of our many Specialty Tours, which are described on our “Walking Tours” menu above. All of our tours are uniquely designed by each Guide and are not canned tours. We use historic photographs and actual civilian accounts to relate the events that occurred in the town.
