Our professional, licensed guides are committed to providing first rate quality walking tours. If you feel your Guide has given you an excellent tour, than then gratuities are certainly appreciated. Tipping reflects customer appreciation for excellent services and is greatly appreciated but never required.

How long are the walks/tours?
Daytime tours are 90 or 60 minutes. Evening tours are 60 min minutes and all are leisurely walks through the streets of Gettysburg. There are plenty of many benches scattered throughout the town for your convenience. The amount of walking varies depending on the pace of the group and the number of questions. We encourage you to wear comfortable walking shoes, carry water, and dress for the weather.

Are walking tours handicap accessible?
Yes, and we can also structure our tours to fit the mobility of the individual or group. Please call us in advance to make us aware of your needs.

What about the weather?
We usually do tours rain or shine. We know that on vacation you sometimes have one day devoted to certain activities, so we don’t cancel unless it is pouring, there is thunder and lightening. so If the weather is questionable bring a raincoat or umbrella. If heavy rains prevent touring at the appointed time, your guide will contact you to arrange another time.

During the summer months, the heat index in Gettysburg can be very high . We recommend that you carry water, wear sunscreen and wear a hat or visor.

In the interest of public safety, GBLTG reserves the right to cancel tours due to extreme weather conditions such as but not limited to lightning, icy conditions or heat index of 90 degrees or above.

Can we bring our dog?
The Gettysburg Licensed Town Guides love dogs. We ask that you keep your dog on a leash, be mindful of other guests on the tour and pick up after your dog.
